Discover Switzerland's most popular beer
The refreshing classic with a bittersweet hop note and a pleasantly "beery" taste
Feldschlösschen Original shines in a light yellow and with a white crown from the glass. The beery scent is accompanied by a fine hop note. Beery and dark in taste, the Feldschlösschen Original says goodbye with a wonderfully refreshing finish.
The "Feldschlösschen" brand
The history of Feldschlösschen began in 1876, when the brewer Theophil Roniger and the farmer Mathias Wüthrich prepared the first brew on 8 February. Thanks to its advantageous location in Rheinfelden, beer was and still is distributed on a large scale directly via the rail network, so Feldschlösschen quickly achieved a high level of popularity. Until 1912, up to 60 of the famous brewery horses were also in service, which were gradually replaced by the more modern trucks. Since 2000, Feldschlösschen has been part of the international Carlsberg Group; the third largest brewery group in the world and number 1 in Northern and Eastern Europe. Feldschösschen is committed to sustainability, and as a member of "Towards ZERO" they pursue the four main goals: ZERO CO2 footprint, ZERO water waste, ZERO irresponsible consumption and a ZERO accident culture.
